The USS Constitution, known as "Old Ironsides," is a wooden-hulled, three-masted frigate of the United States Navy. Named after the United States Constitution, she is the oldest commissioned ship in the world still afloat. HMS Victory is three decades older, but is permanently drydocked. Constitution was one of the six original frigates authorized for construction by the Naval Act of 1794.

Joshua Humphreys designed them to be the Navy's capital ships and so Constitution and her sisters were larger and more heavily armed than the standard run of frigates from the period.

This 45 minute fully narrated tour brings you up close and personal with "Old-Ironsides" at her home in the Charlestown Navy Yard and allows you the option to disembark for a tour of the famous ship and accompanying Naval Museum.

Don't forget the camera, film and binoculars. We have a galley serving food and beverages. Wear comfortable shoes or sneakers. Bring a light sweater or jacket. Remember sunscreen and sunglasses.

January - December: Daily Every Hour from 10:30am - 3:30pm. Additional 4:30pm departure from April - November.

Parking:

• Parking is available in adjacent garages and lots. All Quincy Market parking is within easy walking distance.

Aboard The Ship:

• We have a cash snack bar and full liquor bar on board. Our food selection includes chips, cookies, crackers, nutrition bars, candy, soft drinks, juices, bottled water, hot dogs and cold sandwiches.
